Fruit And Nut Fudge

Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. Brer Rabbit molasses*
  • 1/4 c. raisins or other fruit
  • 1/8 c. butter
  • 2 sq. chocolate, melted
  • 1/2 c. nuts, cut fine
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Put the sugar, milk and molasses in a saucepan.

    Stir until dissolved.

    Boil to 238° or until a little of the mixture forms a soft ball when dropped in cold water.

    Stir in the butter and chocolate.

    Allow to cool.

    Beat until creamy.

    Add nuts, fruits and vanilla.

    Pour into greased tins.
  9. 9
    When cool, cut into squares.
