  • 2 c. nuts, chopped
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 1/2 c. light brown sugar
  • vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/16 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 lb. candied cherries
  • 1/2 lb. candied pineapple

Directions

    Grease and flour 13 x 9-inch pan.

    Pour nuts in the bottom. Combine butter, brown sugar, vanilla, eggs, flour and salt.

    Spoon over nuts.

    Sprinkle candied fruits over top and press into top of batter.

    Bake at 300° for 1 hour.

    Cool before cutting.
