  • 12 slices bread, crusts removed
  • 1/2 cup Kraft Pure Jam or Jelly
  • 1 1/2 cups sliced fresh plums (or use peaches, pears or apricots)
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp. grated lemon rind Safeway 4 ct For $5.00 thru 02/09

    HEAT oven to 350F (180C).

    REMOVE crusts from bread.

    Cut in half diagonally.

    Arrange 10 triangles around sides of greased 10 inch (25 cm) pie plate or quiche dish.

    SPREAD 4 triangles with jam.

    Place in bottom of pie plate.

    Layer 4 more triangles and half the fruit.

    Repeat layers.

    CUT remaining triangles in half.

    Arrange in centre.

    BEAT eggs with milk, sugar and lemon rind.

    Pour over bread.
