  • 2 qt. 1/2-inch square soft bread cubes
  • 2 qt. milk
  • 1 1/3 c. sugar
  • 16 eggs, beaten
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 1 qt. pitted dates, chopped
  • 2 c. chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 c. melted butter
  • whipped cream

Directions

    Combine bread cubes, milk, sugar, eggs, salt, vanilla, dates, walnuts and melted butter.

    Pour into a greased 9 x 14 x 2-inch pan.

    Bake at 350° for 1 hour.

    Serve with whipped cream.
