  • 2 lb. shelled nuts
  • 1 lb. candied cherries
  • 1 lb. raisins
  • 2 lb. mixed fruit
  • 1/2 lb. dates, rolled in flour
  • 3 c. self-rising flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 doz. eggs
  • 1 lb. melted butter
  • 1 small bottle rum flavoring

Directions

    Mix nuts, raisins, cherries, mixed fruit and dates.

    In another bowl, mix flour, sugar, eggs, butter and flavoring.

    Mix well.

    Add dry ingredients.

    Cook 3 hours at 250°.

    Makes a large cake.

    One half of this recipe makes a tube pan full.
