  • 5 lb. fruit
  • 2 1/2 lb. nuts
  • 5 c. plain flour
  • 14 eggs
  • 1 lb. butter
  • 2 c. white sugar
  • 1 tsp. each lemon and vanilla
  • 1 c. orange juice

Directions

    Cream butter and sugar; add eggs one at a time, 3 cups flour and orange juice alternately.

    Add flavoring.

    Dredge fruit and nuts in other 2 cups of flour, then mix cake batter with fruit and nuts.

    Bake at 220° for 3 to 3 1/2 hours.
