- 1 c. margarine
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 tsp. soda
- 3 1/2 c. flour (use 1 c. to coat fruit and nuts)
- 1/2 lb. chopped dates
- 1 (8 to 10 oz.) pkg. candy orange slices
- 8 oz. coconut
- 2 c. chopped nuts
- 2 c. powdered sugar
- 1 c. fresh squeezed orange juice
Directions

1Cream the butter and sugar.

2Add eggs and cream.

3Put soda into buttermilk and add alternately with flour.

4Fold in fruits and nuts.

5Grease and flour an angel food cake pan and fill with batter.

6Bake at 325° for 1 hour.

7Let cool slightly and remove from pan.
