  • 1/2 lb. margarine
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 lb. pecans, chopped
  • 1/2 lb. black walnuts, chopped
  • 1 lb. candied cherries, diced
  • 1 (8 oz.) can coconut
  • 5 slices candied pineapple, diced

Directions

    Cream margarine and sugar together.

    Add eggs and mix.

    Add 2 cups flour saving some out to coat fruit.

    Mix and add fruit and mix well.
  5. 5
    Bake for 2 1/2 hours at 275° with a pan of water under cake as it bakes.

    Grease and line pans with wax paper.

    Makes 4 (1 pound) loaves or 1 tube pan.
