  • 1 box raisins
  • 1/2 lb. dried lemon
  • 1/2 lb. nuts
  • 1 lemon (juice and peel)
  • 2 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. brandy
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 4 c. flour
  • 4 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 2 Tbsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 3/4 c. grape juice

    A day before, cut the fruits and soak in grape juice.

    Next day, mix in the nuts, lemon juice and peel.

    Cream butter and sugar.

    Add eggs one at a time, mixing continuously.

    Add flour. Add the fruits and spices.

    Pour into a mold and bake at 325°.
