  • 7 cup pecans
  • 3 1/2 cup all mixed fruit
  • 1 lb golden raisins
  • 4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 corn syrup or honey
  • 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 1/4 cup sugar
  • 6 unbeaten eggs
  • 1 oz brandy or rum flavoring

  • 3/4 lb chopped pineapples
  • 1 OR
  • 1 3/4 cup whole cherries OR
  • 3/4 lb whole cherries

Directions

    Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon,nutmeg.

    Add nuts, fruit and raisins.

    Mix together until all fruits and nuts are coated in roasting pan.

    Set aside.

    Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.

    Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.

    Add flavoring,add to fruit mixture and mix well with hand.

    Preheat oven 275 for 3 hrs

    30 minutes later, brush with honey or syrup.

    Add nuts on top.
