Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. powdered sugar
  • 1 c. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/3 c. white sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 c. chopped candied fruits

    Cut butter into 2 cups flour and powdered sugar.

    Press into 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes.

    Sift next 3 ingredients together.

    Add slightly beaten eggs with sugar to flour mixture.

    Fold in nuts and fruits.

    Pour on baked crust. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

    Cut into squares while warm. Sprinkle powdered sugar on the top.
