- 1 lb. pineapple preserves
- 1 lb. butter
- 1 box light brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 4 c. self-rising flour
- 3 Tbsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. soda
- 6 c. pecans
- 12 slices candied pineapple
- 1 lb. dates
- 1 lb. candied cherries
Directions

1Cream the butter, sugar and pineapple preserves well.

2Add vanilla and soda.

3Flour the nuts, dates and candied fruit with 1/2 cup flour.

4Set aside.

5Beat eggs well.

6Mix with butter, sugar and preserves.

7Add remaining flour to this mixture, then add fruit and nuts.

8Drop by spoonful on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes.
