- 1/4 c. margarine
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. milk (may need a few drops more)
- No. 3 can cherries, peaches, etc.
Directions

1Pour all ingredients except fruit into a bowl and mix well or until smooth.

2Pour into baking dish and spread evenly.

3The dough needs to be just soft enough to spread with a spoon.

4Pour fruit gently over dough.

5Do not stir dough.

6Sprinkle 1/4 to 1 cup sugar over fruit; sprinkle with ground cinnamon and cloves.

7Dot with butter.

8Do not stir!

9Bake 45 minutes at 400°.

10Crust will rise to the top.
