- 2 c. fruit (canned or frozen)
- 1 c. self-rising flour
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. milk
Directions

1Place fruit in greased pan.

2If fruit is very juicy, mix cornstarch. Cream shortening and sugar.

3Mix in egg. Add flour and milk alternately.

4Pour over fruit in pan. Bake in a 375° oven about 30 minutes.

5Serve warm with cream or whipped cream.
