Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 c. fruit (peaches, fruit cocktail, etc.)
  • 1/2 c. fruit juice
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 c. hot water

Directions

    Combine first 6 ingredients.

    Place batter in bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan. Top with 2 cups fruit.

    Pour fruit juice on top. Sprinkle evenly 3/4 cup sugar on top.

    Pour hot water over all. Bake 1 hour at 400°.
