- 2/3 c. flour
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 c. milk
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
- 2 c. fruit (blueberries, apples, peaches, prunes, etc., fresh frozen or canned), drained
- 1/4 tsp. salt (optional)
Directions

1Melt butter or margarine in 1 or 1 1/2-quart baking dish in oven or microwave.

2Meanwhile, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.

3Stir in the milk and mix until batter is smooth. Pour this mixture over melted butter in baking dish.

4Sprinkle the fruit on top.

5Bake in preheated 350° oven for 40 to 45 minutes or until lightly browned.

6Serve warm with whipped cream. (Can be doubled.)
