- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 c. milk
- pinch of salt
- 2 c. fruit (fresh or canned that has been drained)
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. water
Directions

1Cream together 1/2 cup sugar and butter.

2Add baking powder, flour, milk and salt.

3Line 8 x 8-inch pan with grease and add fruit.

4Spread dough on top of fruit.

5Add 1 cup sugar over top of dough.

6Then pour 1/2 cup water over all.

7Bake at 350° for 34 to 40 minutes.
