  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 c. fruit (fresh or canned that has been drained)
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. water

Directions

    Cream together 1/2 cup sugar and butter.

    Add baking powder, flour, milk and salt.

    Line 8 x 8-inch pan with grease and add fruit.

    Spread dough on top of fruit.

    Add 1 cup sugar over top of dough.

    Then pour 1/2 cup water over all.

    Bake at 350° for 34 to 40 minutes.
