  • 3 to 4 c. fruit pieces (rhubarb, blueberries, peaches, etc.)
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • dash of nutmeg

Directions

    Put fruit in 8-inch square baking dish. Cream the sugar and butter. Combine flavoring and milk and add alternately to creamed mixture with sifted dry ingredients.

    Pour over fruit. Add Topping.
