- 3 c. peaches or other fruit
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- butter
- 1 egg
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Put fruit, 1 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon flour in pan; dot with butter.

2Take egg, sugar and shortening; mix.

3Add 1/2 cup milk, alternating with flour, baking powder and salt; blend well.

4Pour over fruit.

5Bake at 350° for 1/2 hour, or until done.
