  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 small can fruit cocktail
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 3/4 c. evaporated milk
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    In mixing bowl, stir together the flour, baking soda, salt and sugar.

    Add eggs and undrained fruit cocktail; mix by hand until well-blended.

    Bake in a greased and floured 9 x 13 pan at 350° for 35 to 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes clean.

    While cake is baking, prepare icing.
