  • 2 c. granulated sugar
  • 2 c. sifted flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 (No. 2 1/2) can fruit cocktail, drained
  • 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 4 Tbsp. juice drained from fruit
  • 1 c. finely chopped nuts
  • 1 c. light brown sugar

    Bake for 45 minutes at 325° for glass pan

    and 350° for aluminum pan.

    Serve with topping such as whipped cream, Dream Whip or Cool Whip.
