  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg, well beaten
  • 1 can (large) fruit cocktail
  • 2/3 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    Mix the first 6 ingredients thoroughly and pour into a 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Mix the last 2 ingredients and put on top of cake. Bake 45 minutes at 350°.

    Great served with whipped topping.
