  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1 (No. 303) can fruit cocktail
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 Tbsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    Mix first 4 ingredients with mixer.

    Sift together flour, salt and soda.
  3. 3
    Blend the two mixtures and pour into a greased and floured oblong pan.
  4. 4
    Sprinkle brown sugar and nuts over mixtures. Bake at 350° for 40 to 45 minutes.
