Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine, melted
  • 2 c. fruit, fresh or canned with some juice

Directions

    Mix together first 5 ingredients.

    Melt butter or margarine in 8 x 8-inch baking pan in 350° oven.

    When melted, pour into first ingredients.

    Mix well.

    Pour into pan and bake 5 minutes, then add fruit and bake an additional 30 minutes or until done.
