Fruit Salad Pie

  • 1 (No. 2) can unsweetened pie cherries
  • 1 (No. 2) can crushed pineapple
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 (3 oz.) cherry Jell-O
  • 3 medium bananas or 2 large
  • 2 (9-inch) baked pie shells
  • 1 c. broken pecans

    Mix sugar and flour in saucepan with fruit.

    Heat until thick. Remove from heat.

    Add the cherry Jell-O (no water).

    Let cool. When cool, add the bananas that have been mashed and 1 cup broken pecans.

    Refrigerate overnight.

    When ready to serve, top with whipped cream or Cool Whip.
