Ingredients
- 2 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. softened butter
- 1/3 c. currants
- 1/3 c. dried apricots, chopped fine
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. heavy cream (reserve 2 Tbsp.)
Directions

1Combine dry ingredients with butter until crumbly.

2Add currants, apricots, sugar and cream.

3Knead gently.

4Cut dough in half.

5Pat each half into a circle and cut into 8 wedges.

6Brush top with reserved cream and sprinkle lightly with granulated sugar.

7Bake in 350° oven for approximately 20 minutes and then test for doneness.

8Makes 16 scones.
