- 6 Tbsp butter or margarine
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 2 cups cut-up mixed candied fruit
- 1 cup dates
- 1 cup nuts, coarsely chopped
- 1-15 oz can sweetened condensed milk (do not substitute)
Directions

1Melt butter in 15 1/2 X 10 1/2 X 1-inch jelly roll pan. Sprinkle on crumbs (tap sides of pan to distribute crumbs evenly). Sprinkle on coconut.

2Distribute candied fruit as evenly as possible over the coconut.

3Cut dates into a small amount of flour so they won't stick together.

4Distribute dates over candied fruit. Sprinkle on nuts.

5Press mixture lightly with hands to level pan. Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over the top.

6Bake in moderate oven (350°) for 25 to 30 minutes.

7Cool completely before cutting.

8Remove from pan.

9Makes about 54 (1 1/2-inch) squares.
