- 6 tablespoons butter or 6 tablespoons margarine
- 1 12 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 2 cups cut up mixed candied fruit
- 1 cup dates
- 1 cup nuts, coarsely chopped
- 1 (15 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (for dusting dates)
Directions

1Melt butter in 15 1/2 x 10 11/2 x 1-inch jelly roll pan.

2Sprinkle on crumbs (tap sides of the pan to distribute evenly).

3Sprinkle on coconut .

4Distribute candied fruit as evenly as possible over coconut.

5Cut dates into a small amount of flour so they won't stick together (or use prechopped dates).

6Distribute dates over candied fruit.

7Sprinkle on nuts.

8Press mixture lightly with hands to level it in pan.

9Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over top.

10Bake in moderate oven at 350F for 25-30 minutes.

11Cool completely before cutting, Remove from pan.
