Fruity Bread Pudding

Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 c. sugar (more if desired)
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 qt. milk
  • 3 c. fresh bread cubes
  • 1 small can fruit cocktail (undrained)
  • dash of cinnamon
  • dash of nutmeg (optional)

Directions

    Melt

    butter and combine with beaten eggs, sugar, salt, vanilla,

    and seasonings.

    Pour over bread cubes (if needed, add 1/2 cup more bread crumbs or cubes).

    Dot with butter. Bake in moderate oven at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes or until light brown on top.
