- 3/4 c. flour
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla or rum
- 2 c. pecans
- 1 lb. dates
- 1 c. maraschino cherries
- 3 eggs
Directions

1Grease a 9 x 5 x 3-inch pan and line with wax paper.

2Mix fruit and nuts together by hand.

3Sift dry ingredients and mix with fruit.

4Beat eggs with vanilla or rum flavoring; stir into other mixture.

5Bake at 300° for 1 hour and 10 minutes.

6Cool on rack in pan for 15 minutes.

7Remove.

8Cool again.

9Wrap in foil.
