Ingredients

  • 4 1/2 c. sugar
  • 8 oz. small marshmallows
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
  • 1 large can evaporated milk
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 2 c. pecans

Directions

    Combine milk and sugar and cook to a rolling boil.

    Boil about 10 minutes.

    Test mixture to see if it forms a food soft ball when dropped in cold water.

    If it does not, cook until it does, stirring constantly.

    In a big bowl, combine chocolate chips, marshmallows and butter.

    Pour on hot milk and sugar mixture.

    Stir until melted.

    Add vanilla and nuts.

    Mix well and pour in large pans and cool.

    Makes 6 pounds.
