Ingredients

  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1/3 c. cocoa
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 3/4 c. Carnation milk
  • 1 Tbsp. syrup
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    Mix sugar and cocoa (dry), removing all lumps.

    Add margarine, milk and syrup.

    Cook on medium heat until forms soft ball stage when dropped in cold water.

    Remove from heat and add nuts and vanilla.

    Set pot in cool water, stirring until thick.

    Pour in buttered dish.

    When it hardens, cut in squares and remove from dish.
