- 1 pkg. (12 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 c. butter or margarine
- 4 eggs
- pinch of salt
- 1 c. sifted flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Directions

1Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking pan; set aside.

2Preheat oven to 375°.

3Combine chocolate chips and butter in a large saucepan. Melt over low heat, stirring constantly.

4Remove from heat. Combine eggs, salt and sugar; blend well.

5Add to chocolate mixture.

6Stir in flour, baking powder and vanilla until well blended.

7Stir in nuts, if desired.

8Pour into prepared pan.

9Bake for 25 minutes or until brownie begins to pull away from edge of pan.

10Let stand until cool.

11Cut into bars.
