- 1 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 (1 lb.) can chocolate syrup
- 1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Cream margarine and sugar.

2Add eggs and beat thoroughly.

3Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with syrup, blending well.

4Add nuts and vanilla.

5Bake in sheet pan 35 to 40 minutes at 350°. Let cool and top with icing.
