- 2/3 c. sifted flour (all-purpose)
- 1/2 c. cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. coarsely chopped walnuts
- 1/2 c. butter, softened
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Grease 8-inch cake pan.

2Preheat oven to 350°.

3Toast walnuts in oven for 10 minutes; cool.

4Combine flour, cocoa and salt. Beat butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla until light and fluffy.

5Stir in flour mixture until well blended.

6Stir in toasted walnuts. Turn into prepared pan.

7Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

8Do not overbake.

9Cool on wire rack.

10Remove from pan.

11Spoon ice cream onto center of pie; cut into pie-shaped wedges.
