  • 1 3/4 c. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 whole eggs
  • 1/2 c. evaporated milk
  • pinch of salt

    Melt butter in a heavy saucepan.

    Add sugar and cocoa; stir well.

    Stir mixture; do not heat.

    Add milk and vanilla.

    Pour into a 9-inch pie shell and bake at 400° for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 350° and bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until crust is brown.
