Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. cake flour
  • 1 tsp. cornstarch
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 stick margarine, melted
  • 2 sq. melted chocolate (Baker's)
  • 1 pt. evaporated milk (Pet)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 c. flaked coconut
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 2 pie shells

Directions

    With a large wooden spoon mix sugar, flour, cornstarch and salt; add eggs, then chocolate and margarine.

    Mix until smooth. Add milk gradually, then vanilla.

    Sprinkle half of coconut and pecans in both bottom of unbaked pie shell.

    Pour mixture over on top of coconut and pecans.

    Bake 50 minutes in 350° oven.

    These pies are great for the holidays.
