  • 3 Tablespoons Butter, Melted
  • 3 ounces, weight Bittersweet Chocolate, Melted
  • 1 Large Ripe Banana, Peeled And Mashed
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1/3 cups All-purpose Flour
  • 1/3 cups Whole Wheat Pastry Flour
  • 1/4 teaspoons Sea Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/2 cups Dark Chocolate Chips
  • 1/2 cups Candied Walnuts, Plus More For Sprinkling

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350 F. Spray an 8x8 baking dish with cooking spray. Set aside.

    In the bowl of a stand mixer combine melted butter, melted chocolate, and banana. Beat until well incorporated. Add in eggs one at a time. Add in vanilla and mix well.

    In a small bowl combine both flours, salt and baking soda.

    Slowly add dry mixture to wet mixture, mixing just until moistened and combined. Add in chocolate chips and nuts.

    Pour into prepared baking dish. Top with a few extra walnuts if desired.

    Bake for 25-30 minutes until edges are set and toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let brownies cool 20 minutes before cutting. Enjoy!
