- 1 egg
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1 1/4 c. flour
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 3/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- oil (for frying)
Directions

1In medium bowl, beat eggs with milk.

2Add dry ingredients. Using a funnel with 3/8-inch spout, hold finger over the spout and pour some of the batter into funnel.

3Hold funnel over hot oil in frying pan or fryer.

4Release batter in circular or crisscross pattern.

5Batter should dry rapidly.

6If too thick, add 1 to 1 1/2 tablespoons milk.

7Fry about 1 minute; turn and fry 1/2 minute.

8Drain on paper towels.

9Sprinkle with powdered sugar or sugar and cinnamon.
