- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. cooking oil
Directions

1Combine eggs and milk.

2Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.

3Add to egg mixture; beat smooth with rotary beater.

4In 8-inch skillet, heat cooking oil to 360°.

5Release batter into hot oil, using a funnel, making a spiral shape.

6Fry until golden, about 3 minutes.

7Turn, using wide spatula and tongs.

8Cook 1 minute more.

9Drain on paper towels.

10Sprinkle with sifted powdered sugar.

11Makes 4 cakes.
