Name: Garbage Cake
Ingredients: 2 cups applesauce; 2 eggs; 1/2 cup butter, softened; 1 cup dates, chopped; 1 cup walnuts, chopped; 1 teaspoon vanilla extract; 1/2 teaspoon lemon extract; 1/3 teaspoon salt; 1 1/2 cups sugar; 2 teaspoons baking soda; 2 cups flour; 1 teaspoon cinnamon; 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg; 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves; 1 tablespoon molasses; 2 cups frosting (of your choice, your own, or my Cream Cheese Frosting recipe.)

2 cups applesauce
2 eggs
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup dates, chopped
1 cup walnuts, chopped
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon lemon extract
1/3 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1 tablespoon molasses
2 cups frosting (of your choice, your own, or my Cream Cheese Frosting recipe.)

Preheat oven to 325°.

Stir all the ingredients, except frosting, into a large bowl in the order given.

Mix slowly by hand at first, then beat with an mixer on medium speed for about 2 minutes.

Pour into a greased 9x13 pan and bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.

Cool, then top with frosting.
