Garlic Potatoes

  • 2 c. milk
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 8 Tbsp. butter
  • 3 1/2 lb. potatoes
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 1/2 c. Swiss cheese
  • 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese

Directions

    Bring to a boil the milk and garlic cloves (smashed).

    Line pan with butter (2 teaspoons).

    Peel potatoes and slice thin. Layer potatoes, Swiss cheese, 1/2 of salt and pepper.

    Dot with butter.

    Repeat for second layer exactly, plus add Parmesan, then add milk mixture.

    Cook, uncovered, at 400° for 45 minutes, or until done.
