- 2 small onions, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 12 cup butter
- 6 tablespoons flour
- 6 cups chicken broth or 6 cups vegetable broth
- 14-12 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Directions

1Saute onions and garlic in butter for about 3 minutes.

2Stir in flour until well blended.

3Gradually add broth and bring to a boil.

4Cook and stir about 2 minutes, until thickened.

5Reduce heat, simmer for 15 minutes.

6Add cayenne.

7You can also add cooked rice to this soup for a different version.
