Gelatin Party Layers

   In a bowl, prepare gelatin with water according to package directions; pour half into 2 1/2-quart glass casserole.

   Stir in bananas; chill until set.

   Chill remaining gelatin until it starts to set.

   Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, blend cream cheese, mayonnaise and walnuts; spread evenly over firm layer of gelatin in casserole.

   Blend whipped topping into partially set gelatin until smooth and creamy; spoon over cream cheese layer.

   Chill until set.

   Garnish with additional whipped topping, strawberries and mint leaves if desired.
