  • 6 c. sliced, cooked beets
  • 2 medium onions, peeled and sliced
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 4 Tbsp. melted oleo
  • 2 tsp. cornstarch
  • 1/3 c. vinegar
  • 1/3 c. water
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Directions

    Simmer onions in melted butter until tender.

    Stir in sugar, cornstarch and salt.
