- 1 bag caramels (approximately 60)
- 2/3 c. evaporated milk
- 1 German chocolate cake mix
- 3/4 c. melted butter
- 1 c. nuts
- 12 oz. bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions

1Melt caramels and 1/3 cup evaporated milk together over low heat, stirring constantly.

2Mix cake mix, 1/3 cup evaporated milk, butter and nuts together and divide into 2 parts.

3Mix 1 cup of melted chocolate chips into 1/2 of cake mixture and pat into a 9 x 12-inch pan.

4Bake at 350° for 8 minutes.

5Remove.

6Add rest of chips and layer of caramel.

7Crumble remaining 1/2 of cake mixture on top.

8Bake at 350° for 18 to 20 minutes.

9Cool slightly and refrigerate for approximately 30 minutes.
