German Chocolate Pie

- 1 pkg. Baker's German's sweet chocolate
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
- 2 eggs
- 1 2/3 c. (14 1/2 oz.) evaporated milk
- 1 pie shell, unbaked
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 1/3 c. coconut
Directions

1Melt chocolate and butter over low heat.

2Remove from heat. Gradually blend in milk.

3Mix sugar, cornstarch and salt.

4Add to beaten eggs and vanilla.

5Gradually blend in chocolate mixture. Pour in pie shell.

6Mix coconut and pecans in a big bowl. Sprinkle over pie.

7Bake at 375° for 45 minutes.

8Filling will be soft, but will set while cooling.

9Cool at least 4 hours before cutting.
