- 1 (4 oz.) sq. German chocolate
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 1 1/2 c. coconut
- 1 unbaked deep dish (9-inch) pie shell
Directions

1Melt chocolate and butter over low heat.

2Remove from heat and blend in milk; set aside.

3Mix sugar, cornstarch and salt.

4Beat in eggs and vanilla.

5Blend in chocolate mixture.

6Pour into unbaked pie shell.

7Combine pecans and coconut.

8Sprinkle evenly over pie.

9Bake at 375° for 45 minutes.
