- 4 ounces German chocolate
- 14 cup butter or 14 cup margarine
- 1 (12 ounce) can evaporated milk
- 1 12 cups sugar
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 18 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 unbaked 9-inch deep dish pie crust
- 12 cup chopped pecans
- 1 13 cups flaked coconut
Directions

1In a sauce pan, melt chocolate and butter over low heat, stirring to mix well.

2Remove from the heat and gradually blend in milk; set aside.

3In a bowl, combine sugar, cornstarch and salt.

4Stir in eggs and vanilla.

5Gradually stir in chocolate mixture.

6Pour into pastry shell.

7Combine pecans and coconut; sprinkle over filling.

8Bake at 375 degrees F.
