German Chocolate Pie

  • 1 (9-inch) deep dish pie crust
  • 4 oz. Baker's semi-sweet chocolate squares
  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 1 c. Eagle Brand milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. hot water
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 c. coconut

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350°.

    In a heavy saucepan on low heat, melt margarine and chocolate square.

    Cool.

    Add Eagle Brand milk. Stir in eggs, hot water and vanilla.

    Mix well.

    Pour in crust. Top with pecans and coconut.

    Bake 35 to 40 minutes at 350°.
